Long wash,
Flat swell,
Slow slosh,
Eggshell;
Wind brailles
Limp sails,
Slack air
Everywhere—
Boom idles,
Jib bridles,
Reef dead,
Sky red,
Luff nil,
Bay still,
Small breeze
Calligraphies:
Sudden order
Imposed on water;
Heat binds
Ratlines,
Slack tide
Dockside;
Wind skims
Long limbs,
Your sea
Our destiny.
