Read By Miami films premiere at The Bass Museum

We and O, Miami are thrilled to announce the premiere of Read By Miami, our second set of collaborative films featuring Miami poets, at The Bass Museum of Art during Miami Beach Culture Crawl!

On April 16th from 6 to 9 pm, join us for a screening of all ten films and a discussion featuring poets Jaswinder Bolina, Tom Healy, and Caridad Moro-Gronlier and director Eric Felipe-Barkin, moderated by O, Miami Director of Civic Publishing Yaddyra Peralta.

Eight films showcase the poems and performances of Jaswinder Bolina, Tom Healy, Caridad Moro-Gronlier, and Christell Victoria Roach, each of whom reads one poem of their own and a second poem by a favorite poet. Two more films feature performances by actor Ruben Rabasa.

The films, shot in Miami-Dade, were directed by Cuban-American filmmaker Eric Felipe-Barkin and shot by Jorge González Graupera. All ten films feature performers with deep roots in South Florida. Together, their voices showcase Miami-Dade County’s many stories, histories, and cultures.
